Retreat January 30 - 31, 2015

The American Catholic Church Diocese of California sponsored a Diocesan Retreat , Friday January 30-31. Our own Father Kevin Yell was the retreat master. The retreat was held in Forest Falls, a small town in the mountains in San Bernardino county.

It was a wonderful spiritual time away to pray!

A central theme of the retreat was turning our focus to Theosis. In Eastern Orthodoxy Theosis is both a transformative process and the goal of that process. The goal is the attainment of likeness to or union with God. The Eastern Church teaches Theosis is very much the purpose of human life
